THE YEAR IS 2032. NOT MUCH IS THE SAME.Twenty four years ago, the face of the planet was much different. The temperature was lower, the sky bluer, the term sunshine state a good thing. Yes, twenty-four long years ago things were different, but there's no time like the present, and the present is 2032, ten years after the last tourist attraction in Florida closed its doors, twelve years after the heat had risen far, far quicker than anyone had expected. Anything below Virginia became hot, hot, too hot for your average family to stand. People moved. Vacationers found new summer homes in places like Virginia Beach.
The higher the temperature rose, the higher Florida's state line went- hopelessly trying to follow the tourists, more and more theme parks and attractions started climbing the longitude lines, swallowing up parts of Georgia and Alabama, into South and even North Carolina. These areas were never actually bought by Florida, but as the situation worsened and the money moved north with the tourists, 'Florida' just became a label for the area hit the hardest. The largest cities got it the worst- the ones whose economy depended almost entirely on the tourism business.
The most magnificent cities of the south have been reduced to a joke, a collection of abandoned thirty-story hotels and out-of-business amusement parks. The year is 2032, and no, nothing is the same.SINK, FLORIDA, SINK. you will see what is wrong with everything.plot | rules | canons | application | face claim
